Meet The Standard In Storytelling
VISION
Imagined in 2020 and established in 2021, The Industry Bible is an initiative to create an equitable film and theatre industry for Black production crews in the St. Louis Metro area through diversity reports, hiring pledges, and a centralized database.
Our vision is activated through 4 dimensions known as C.R.E.W. Connect, Reach, Educate, and Work.
MISSION
Our mission is to create an equitable (and poppin') industry for Black storytellers through 4 phases known as C.R.E.W. Connect, Reach, Educate, and Work.
We CONNECT Black professionals to a central online database.
We REACH all levels of the industry from agencies to art organizations who understand that artistry without Black successors is dying.
We EDUCATE through our research initiative (IB MAG) to collect and publish data on diversity and the bottom line in St. Louis’ (MSA) art industry and by partnering with organizations to provide skill-based training workshops.
Lastly, we WORK by making our professionals available to the production companies creating in our community.

TAKE THE PLEDGE
25/20 On-Camera Pledge
25% of ATL (above-the-line) crew hired will be Black people per production.
20% of BTL (below-the-line) crew hired will be Black people per production.
These numbers are based on the approximate demographic of African-American residents living in St. Louis city from the U.S. Census Bureau. (source: here)
Theatre Pledge - coming soon
IB Magazine (eye-bee-mAgUHzeen) is a digital magazine that covers St. Louis’ film, commercial, and performance theatre through the lived experiences of BIPOC production crew members.
Carefully curated by Black actors and filmmakers, this web publication is unique in interlacing research data on diversity with cinematic portraits and deep-dive interviews into a polished annual issue.
